Many geopolitical activists are of the view that a major global political shift can take place if these three countries start forming deeper geopolitical relations. However, it has unsettled many nerves far away in Washington. Washington has admitted in a tone deaf voice that the growing proximity between India, China, and Russia can affect the US’s relationship with all three countries.

Trump has hinted that higher tariff rates and greater export duties can be imposed on these three nations. The fact that India did not stop purchasing oil from Russia during the USA Russia conflict had already strained India USA relations to some extent.

Some geopolitical activists are not seeing this comment made by Trump as racist in nature rather they are seeing it as a warning sign. The US has been known to impose higher trade tariffs on countries with whom it develops strained relations.

Some geopolitical activists are of the view that Trump made these comments to warn India and Russia that unfavorable trade policies might be on the cards if both the nations do not take a step back at this point of time. Trump however did not fail to acknowledge that he still maintains a very cordial relation with the leaders of all these three countries. Some are seeing this mixed reaction as part of a planned and a broader Trump SCO summit reaction.

Trump emphasized that the coming times will only tell how close or far these nations stand to each other in terms of geopolitics. These comments have definitely added a brand new dimension to the Modi Putin Xi summit.

The world has been monitoring these developments with a very keen eye. Europe is also taking a keen interest in these developments as it believes the changing geopolitical equations between these four countries can have political significance for Europe as well.

However back home in Washington the top political leaders are assuming that the US has started to lose its grip on Asia and it can not mirror the times when Bush was at the helm of affairs.

His calculated Trump China dominance remarks are being seen as an indirect warning to China. Some are assuming that China must take this as a warning sign and start preparing for new tariff regulations.

While some are of the view that the recent economic stand off between India and USA too might have played a role in the changing geopolitical equations in Asia.
