Apple Launches New AirTag Featuring Enhanced Connectivity and Superior Findability
Apple has once again introduced a new AirTag, making it even more powerful, findable, and efficient than before. It has now become an even more advanced, bestselling item-finder, capable of tracking objects over much longer distances.
Apple introduced the AirTag to help people track and locate important belongings through the Apple Find My app. Several advanced features have been added, such as an extended tracking range and a louder integrated speaker. In addition to finding lost items, it helps users monitor everyday belongings and maintain better control over their essentials.
Since its launch in 2021, many users have shared real-life stories of how they successfully recovered lost items such as luggage, keys, bicycles, bags, and other valuables using AirTags.
Many businessmen and doctors have also successfully tracked their luggage by placing AirTags inside their bags, making it easier to recover lost belongings.
This device is designed only for tracking objects and provides industry-leading protection against unwanted tracking.
It is still available at the same price:
$29 for a single AirTag
$99 for a four-pack

Enhanced Range and Findability
This AirTag uses the second-generation Ultra Wideband chip, which is also present in the iPhone 17 lineup, iPhone Air, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and Apple Watch Series 11. With this chip’s integration, locating items has become easier, faster, and more precise than ever.
Precision Finding now guides users with haptic, visual, and audio cues, enabling them to locate lost items up to 50% farther than the previous generation.
Due to the upgraded Bluetooth chip, the locating range has increased significantly.
For the first time, users can locate their AirTag using Precision Finding directly from an Apple Watch Series 9 or later, or an Apple Watch Ultra 2 or later, bringing powerful tracking to the wrist.
The AirTag’s speaker is now 50% louder thanks to a redesigned internal structure. The sound can now be heard from twice the previous distance, making detection much easier.
With enhanced Precision Finding and a new distinctive chime, locating items has become effortless, whether keys are behind the sofa, a wallet is misplaced, or something is hidden under furniture.
The Find My Network and Share Item Location
Through the Find My app, users can locate AirTags, Apple devices, compatible third-party devices, and even friends and family, all with complete privacy protection.
The Find My network is extremely powerful. Even if an AirTag moves outside the paired iPhone’s range, the network continues to help track it.
This network is a crowdsourced system of Apple devices that detects AirTags via Bluetooth signals and securely transmits their approximate locations to their owners.
The new AirTag now integrates seamlessly with the Share Item Location feature.
Users can now temporarily and securely share the location of their lost items with third parties such as airlines, helping them recover lost luggage or phones without any security risk.
Apple has partnered with 50+ airlines that securely accept Share Item Location links.
According to SITA (a leading IT provider for airlines):
- Baggage delays have reduced by 26%
- “Truly lost” luggage cases have decreased by up to 90%
Access is provided only to authorized personnel through secure Apple Account authentication or partner verification systems.
Once the item is found, sharing automatically stops. Users can manually turn sharing on or off at any time, and links automatically expire after 7 days.
Industry-Leading Security Features
This device is carefully engineered with privacy and security as top priorities. It does not store any location data or history.
All communication with the Find My network is end-to-end encrypted, ensuring that only the owner can access location data.
Neither Apple nor any third party can ever know which device is helping locate an AirTag.
AirTags are not designed to track people or pets.
They include industry-first protections against unwanted tracking, such as:
- Cross-platform alerts
- Frequently changing unique Bluetooth identifiers
Environmental Responsibility and Accessory Compatibility
Apple continues to pursue its Apple 2030 goal, aiming to make its entire corporate footprint carbon neutral by the end of the decade through reductions in emissions across materials, electricity, and transportation.
The new AirTag is launched with an eco-conscious design:
- 85% recycled plastic used in the enclosure
- 100% recycled rare earth elements used in magnets
- 100% recycled gold plating used in Apple-designed circuit boards
- 100% fibre-based packaging, fully recyclable
The original AirTag design (form factor) has been retained, making the new AirTag fully compatible with all existing AirTag accessories.
